For several years now, Interstate 35 has been referred to in some prophetic circles as the Glory Highway. References have been made to Isaiah 35 which talks of blind eyes opening and deaf ears being unstopped, of lame leaping and mute tongues shouting for joy. It speaks of a highway of holiness and the glory and splendor of the Lord being manifest. Interstate-35 runs from Laredo though Texas cities San Antonio, Austin, Belton, Temple, Waco and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. It continues through several states and such major cities as Oklahoma City (OK), Wichita (KS), Kansas City (MO), Des Moines (IA) and Minneapolis MN).
What does all this anarchy and unrest have to do with Interstate 35 being the Glory Highway? Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.
This past week Minneapolis was rocked by video of a black man being suffocated by a white police officer. A horrified nation watched as George Floyd begged for his life saying that he could not breathe until his voice finally went silent. In the days following, peaceful protests have given way to violent riots as several US cities have come under siege. Businesses have been burned to the ground and more lives lost as the streets have become war zones. National guard troops are trying to assist local law enforcement regain and maintain order as city after city imposes curfews in an effort to curb the violence. At the time of this writing, President Trump has made it clear that military police forces are ready to be deployed if necessary to restore order in the hardest hit areas. Yesterday in Austin, protestors actually spilled onto IH-35 bringing traffic to a standstill.
What does all this anarchy and unrest have to do with Interstate 35 being the Glory Highway? Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.
“They will see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God. Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. Say to those with anxious heart, ‘Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; the recompense of God will come, but He will save you.’” Isaiah 35:2-4
“A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it.” Isaiah 35:8
It is time for the Ekklesia, the remnant, the sons and daughters of God, to rise up and declare the word of the Lord over our nation. It is time for us to decree that every foul spirit that would rise up in the face of our God will have its head cut off. Every assignment and agenda that is contrary to the plans and and purposes of God in our cities, counties, states and nation are to be rendered null and void. CANCELLED.
Worshipers, take your place on the battlefield with a harp in one hand and a sword in the other. Release your song/sound as a stone from a slingshot and nail the enemy between the eyes. Let the song of the Lord sink into the forehead of the giants of racism, hatred, anarchy, lawlessness and anti-Christ just as David’s stone brought Goliath to the ground. Take up your sword of the Spirit and cut off the heads of these same enemies so that they are never heard from again.
Once Interstate 35 goes through Minneapolis, it continues to Duluth, MN where it merges with State Highway 61, which then follows the southwestern coast of Lake Superior until it enters Canada. So Isaiah 35 now gives way to Isaiah 61, which begins with the familiar words, “The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to the prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn.” Isaiah 61:1-3
NOW. Now is the time for the body of Christ to stand in the gap for our cities, our states and our nation. Now is the time for the unified bride to stand up and be the voice of truth, righteousness and hope for restoration. I know the Lord has plans for all of America, and His plans for the I-35 corridor are unique to this region. Anyone can pray into this, of course, but if you live in a city, county or state they which Interstate 35 runs, you have particular territorial authority. Walk in it. I encourage you to seek Abba’s heart for your stretch of this Glory Highway of Holiness and to readily engage as He leads – in worship, in intercession, in prophetic acts and declarations.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.” 2 Corinthians 10:4
Today is Pentecost Sunday. Just as Holy Spirit showed up with wind and fire when the remnant was gathered together in unity, so let it be today and in the days ahead as the united body of Christ waits together for the fires of holiness to burn again. 3,000 were added that day. One billion souls are poised to come into the kingdom in this last great harvest. Hearts and families will be healed, neighborhoods and communities will be reconciled and restored. This nation and all the nations of the earth will be transformed. Do not be deceived. This is not a spectator sport. Only the remnant sons and daughters of God will be on the field for this one. Gear up. Your time is now.
